Once upon a time, a bad bih was strolling the streets of Paris, ready to make her first big girl handbag purchase.
Blah blah blah, so long story short, I won an excellence award at work, blah blah skipping over that part because I know just as much as ya’ll do that I’m a creative genius, and my job recognizes that and gives me many accolades to keep the juices flowing.
Now first and foremost, I planned on buying these handbags regardless, but finding out I won a monetary award at work just made me even more secure in my Parisian splurges.
I had a few bags on my wishlist one being the Lady Dior and the other being the Book Tote. I tried them both on to see which one gave me the feels.
The Lady Dior mini, shown above is cute, I liked the color BUT I couldn’t visualize how many times I would wear this bag, where I’d wear it to, and if the random crap I shove in a purse these days would even fit in it.
Next, I tried on the small Book Tote, and TBH, look at that face. It was such a different feeling than the Lady Dior, and I knew.. yep.. this is the one. I let Khadijah know that I wanted a day to think on it, head to the Louis Vuitton store and see if there was anything else that caught my eye, and that I’d be back to secure the bag.
I went back to the BnB, found a few other bags to try on and headed BACK to the store to blow a bag the next day! I returned to the store and this time Khadijah was finishing up a quick sale so she suggested I enjoy a light snack at the cafe which was SO GOOD, we were off to a great start. I started with a black tea and a pastry, because you need all the energy you can get when you’re big bank shopping!
OF COURSE I WAS USING A BLACK SALES ASSOCIATE, SWEETHEART! Lol, Khadijah gave me such incredible service and advice, and she almost got me to splurge on TWO bags, but before I make large purchases I always have to sleep on it first 🙂.
I spent quite some time looking at scarves to see which one I felt fit best on the bag. (There were actually a lot of options, I was starting to feel overwhelmed LOL)
I ultimately decided on the Dior Booktote Medium with my name embroidered with a dove and accessorized it with a Oblique bande in jacquard.
