I ended up in Fisherman’s Wharf when I was staying in San Francisco for a week while I toured apartments. I ended up staying at The Kimpton Alton Hotel and it was a close walking distance to the area.
The weather included rain on all the days I was there, so there was quite a bit of fog and a not-so-clear view. As I walked part of the pier, I found the entrance of the World War II Liberty Ship and The Musee Mecanique.

The Musee Mécanique was located at Pier 45 in Fisherman’s Wharf. It opens at 10 a.m every day, & closes at 8 p.m. Inside is an antique, coin operated arcade filled with 300 items, ranging from orchestrions, coin operated pianos, antique slot machines, & animations, down to small bird boxes.

Inside, I enjoyed playing antique games, using the psychic reading hand game, and even car racing games and skeeball. Be sure to bring 51 cents with you so you can leave with a pressed penny!

If you’re looking for something to do around the pier, I’d highly recommend.
